Peter McConnell
Born in Shropshire, Peter spent his early life in Devon before returning to Shropshire at the start of World War 2. After an early career in banking and a spell in local government finance, Peter qualified as a Chartered Secretary. From 1962 until 1975 he lectured in Business Studies in Woverhampton, moving to Swindon College in 1976. From 1990 until 1996 he was Company Secretary to Bristol Development Corporation.

Now retired, Peter’s interests are in cooking, DIY, transport in general and model railways in particular. He has two daughters, one son and five grandchildren, all of whom live locally. He has lived in the village since 1980.
