Doreen Broad
Doreen was born in Abingdon, moving to Longworth in 1937. She was educated at Longworth Primary School until the age of 11, and then at The Elms, an all-girls school in Faringdon.

A wide variety of employments have included work in an office and a Post Office, and latterly T.A. for 34 years at Longworth School.

Mrs Broad is married with two grown-up children who both live locally. She has four grandchildren. Her children and two of her grandchildren also went to Longworth School. Doreen has been a Parish Councillor for eleven years and attempts to promote Longworth, especially the School, whenever possible. Now semi-retired, she enjoys cooking, reading, holidays and looking after the grandchildren.
