Longworth Open Gardens 2011
We had an extremely successful Open Gardens in Longworth on the afternoon of 15 May. Nine beautiful gardens were open, there were teas and a wide variety of home made cakes on sale at the Old Rectory and we sold plants and ice creams in The Square. We received extremely positive comments about the gardens and about the event in general from many of the participants. The baby alpaca at Haugh House was definitely a hit with both children and adults alike. Overall we had 186 adults attending and raised a total of £1072, which will go towards educational sponsorship for individuals and groups in Longworth, Hinton Waldrist and Duxford through our local charity HALF. A big thank you to everyone who attended and to those involved in organizing this very successful event.

If you missed the Longworth Open Gardens you might like to visit Hinton Waldrist’s event which will be held on Sunday 3 July from 2 p.m.
