Biography
Ed Vaizey spent part of his childhood growing up in Berkshire and lived for three years in Oxford, where he was a student at Merton College, Oxford University. After leaving Oxford, he worked for Ken Clarke and Michael Howard advising on employment and education issues. He trained and practised as a barrister for several years, specialising in family law and child care cases, before becoming the part-owner and manager of a successful PR consultancy.

He is the editor of the highly successful Blue Books, published by Politico's, which concentrate on new approaches to Conservative policy in areas such as health and transport. In addition, he writes and broadcasts regularly on Conservative issues in The Guardian and on the BBC's "Despatch Box".
